A las 10:15am salimos de Rainbow Beach para bordear la isla de Fraser (todo el litoral de la isla es una descomunal playa). Cruzando la bahía de Hervey volvimos al continente para aterrizar en Childers y hacer el repostaje (226km).
The departure was delayed because at the Rainbow Beach gas stations there was only unleaded petrol of 91 octane, so we had to move 37km to get the 95. We have been warned that, as we go north, the 91 is the most frequent and sometimes the only one available.
At 10:15 am we leave Rainbow Beach to border Fraser island (the entire coastline of the island is a huge beach). Crossing Hervey Bay we returned to the mainland to land in Childers and refuel (226km).

estaba lleno de vacas pastando, y una docena de ellas en medio de la pista. Hicimos pasada por la pista para apartarlas, Cuando tomamos tierra notamos con sorpresa que la pista estaba sembrada de boñigas, muy difíciles de esquivar. El rodaje hasta la plataforma fue un puro slalom.
The second stage of the day was quite long (340km). Upon arriving at destination (Yeppoon) we had difficulty finding the airfield. We found it thanks to the Google Earth satellite image. The surprise of the day was that the grassy Yeppoon field was full of grazing cows, and a dozen of them in the middle of the runway. We passed to separate them. When we landed we noticed with surprise that the track was planted with dung, very difficult to avoid. Taxiing to the platform was a pure slalom
